Project Description: Livingston is a 524 ha (1,295 acre) mixed use development located in north central Calgary, Alberta. The development contains an Urban Corridor along Centre Street which includes the ultimate alignment of the Greenline LRT. This Urban Corridor along with the relatively steep topography presents a unique set of challenges for LBC to design cost-effective infrastructure solutions.  Livingston has a full spectrum of residential housing types in distinct neighborhoods and a comprehensive open space system. At ultimate buildout, Livingston is expected to be home to over 30,000 people and will include a Homeowners Association facility, Community Centre, six schools and four storm ponds including the new trademarked Stormwater Kidney™ System. LBC Engineering is providing comprehensive design, construction management and project management services on this exciting project.

Project Location: Cranston Avenue, Calgary

Project Description: Cranston’s Riverstone is a unique community located along the banks of the Bow River and a natural escarpment that is over 50m high. Due to these existing natural features, specific design features where incorporated throughout the development to integrate the mix of residential housing types into the surrounding natural areas. When complete, nearly 6,500 people will call Cranston’s Riverstone home. LBC Engineering is providing full design, construction management and project management services on this project.

Project Location: Airport Trail and 60th Street, Calgary

Project Description: A master-planned residential development located in northeast Calgary with an open space network and a mix of single detached, semi-detached homes, row townhomes and mid-rise multifamily. The community maintains a large 46.5ha (115 acre) central wetland complex which is a focal point of the community. Once built out, the community will be home to over 8,800 residents over an area of 263 hectares.

Project Description: Crown Park is an exciting, transit-supportive inner-city redevelopment project. Covering an area of 5.25ha (13.04 ac), this project provides an innovative response to the challenging topography while optimizing value with exceptional downtown views. When completed, an estimated 620 people will call Crown Park home within the mix of low and medium-density dwellings enjoying the new active mobility connections and park spaces.

Project Location: 104th Street and Sora Gate SE, Calgary

Project Description: Sora is a new community located in the southeast part of Calgary, just east of Stoney Trail and north of Hwy 22x.  Sora is a mainly residential community but does include a 2.83ha (7 acre) commercial site.  The community is centered around a large existing wetland which will be reconstructed as part of the development.  When complete, over 2,000 people will call Sora home. LBC Engineering is providing full civil engineer design, construction management and project management services on this project.

Project Description: Westcreek’s Rangeview development is currently in the planning stages but will be a mainly residential 129.5ha (320 acre) community in the southeast part of Calgary, just east of Seton.  The community will sit next to a large, serene wetland, while being only steps away from the South Health Campus, Seton Recreation Centre, a Calgary Public Library and Seton Urban District.  When complete, nearly 5,500 people will call Westcreek’s Rangeview home. LBC Engineering is providing full civil engineering design, construction management and project management services on this project.

Project Description: Heartwood is a 80.9ha (200 acre) residential and mixed use development immediately east of Seton and the South Health campus.  The community will have a wide variety of housing types and densities, and once complete, will be home for over 3,500 residents.  LBC Engineering is providing full civil engineering design, construction management and project management services on this project.

Project Description: Genesis’ NE Hotchkiss development is currently in the early planning stages but will be a mainly residential 65ha (160 acre) community in the southeast part of Calgary.  When complete, nearly 2,500 people will call NE Hotchkiss home. Project Description: Starling is a 122ha (301 acre) residential development located in northwest Calgary north of the existing community of Evanston.  The development will ultimately consist of a mix of single detached, semi-detached, townhouse and multifamily homes and will be home to over 15,000 people. Other key features of the community include a Stormwater Park, two school sites, and numerous community parks. LBC Engineering is providing comprehensive design, construction management and project management services on this project.

Project Location: East of Highway 2A and south of Highway 581, Carstairs

Project Description: Kitstone is a 178ha (440 acre) vibrant new agrihood community located in the Town of Carstairs. The agrihood will contain a mix of residential built forms including single family, duplex, townhomes and multi-residential providing housing opportunity for a variety of people at different stages of life as well as commercial and industrial sites that support farming, greenhouses, community gardening spaces, food markets and agricultural research.

Project Location: Located between Big Rock Trail and Highway 7, east of Township Road 203A, Okotoks

Services: Full design and Project Management Services

Project Description: Sandstone is a 173ha (427 acres) development located within the southwest corner of Okotoks and is part of the West Okotoks Area Structure Plan (WOASP). The development will include multiple land uses and integrate with the existing ravine and wetland located on the property.  The development is expected to contain approximately 3,000 homes.

Project Location: 194th Avenue SW and Wolf Creek Drive SE, Calgary

Project Description: Wolf Willow is a 198ha (490 acre) residential development located in southeast Calgary bordered by the Bow River to the east, a 50m high escarpment to the west and the Blue Devil Golf Course to the north.  The development will ultimately consist of a mix of single detached, semi-detached, townhouse and multifamily homes and will be home to over 10,000 people. Other key features of the community include a designated dog park and multiple roundabouts within the community minimizing the need for streetlights. LBC Engineering is providing comprehensive design, construction management and project management services on this project.
